Financial Crime risks cover money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC), sanctions and embargoes, and bribery and corruption (ABC).

The FCC AM team is the specialist function for financial crime compliance topics in the CS Asset Management division.

It acts as the connecting point between AM and the FCC Group functions and its mandate includes advising on FCC risks and mitigants, ensuring FCC frameworks are in place in AM, adapting the frameworks to the AM business model, and implementing FCC group-wide initiatives in AM.

Therefore, we offer you an attractive mix of day-to-day tasks and project work.

To expand the FCC AM team, we are looking for an experienced professional.

In your new role, you will:

  • Ensure that AM internal policies, procedures and controls (primarily on AML and KYC) reflect the groupwide FCC framework, regulatory requirements and industry best practices, and that these are implemented and adhered to globally across AM.
  • Advise business and local AM Compliance teams on FCC matters focused mainly on AML and KYC.
  • Review and advise on AM cases of client due diligence (KYC) or transaction due diligence that have heightened FCC risks.
  • Provide training to AM Compliance and Central FCC functions on financial crime risks arising in Credit Suisse Asset Management, particularly regarding AML and KYC.
  • Review Group policies and procedures on FCC topics from an AM point of view and request adaptations to AM business model.
  • Ensure close connectivity and collaboration between AM Compliance teams and the Global FCC functions, leveraging other specialists as required.
  • Support in the performance and report on the results of relevant Financial Crime Risk Assessments, Audits, and Controls Testing & Assurance reviews, and execute and support any associated mitigating action plans.
  • Identify and assess developments in legal and regulatory requirements affecting AM in your area of responsibility.

Your future colleagues:

You will be part of a small team within the global FCC function which operates in a fast-paced environment. You will be reporting into the Global Head of Financial Crime for Asset Management.

Therefore, we are looking for a dedicated team member with a high amount of flexibility, initiative and self-drive to complement our forward-thinking and committed team, whose passion and specific expertise guarantee an exciting working environment, as well as growth opportunities and flexible / agile working arrangements.

We are a department that values Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) and is committed to realizing the firm's D&I ambition, which is an integral part of our global cultural values.

Your skills and experience
We are looking for an experienced professional.

  • A University degree or an equivalent education in a Law, Business Administration or Financerelated area
  • Working experience gathered in a compliance, legal or operational risk management with a focus on financial crime within a financial service / asset management / investment fund environment.
  • Conversant with AML / KYC regulatory regimes and requirements, particularly from Switzerland. Good knowledge of those from EU (Luxembourg) is an advantage.
  • Solid expertise on KYC / client due diligence requirements, particularly in Switzerland.
  • Fluent English and solid working knowledge of German are essential.
  • Knowledge of the business models (mandates, investment funds business, and distribution) and legal structures (funds, special purpose vehicles, securitization) of an asset management company. Understanding of the concepts of delegation, outsourcing and reliance in an AM environment.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in matrix environments, ability to work across functional and geographical lines, constructively challenging and driving consensus.
  • Proven ability to engage stakeholders to agree on solutions and implement them in a coordinated manner.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to operate autonomously and demonstrate accountability for entrusted tasks and projects.
  • Proven capability to act as a trusted adviser, whilst retaining strong independence in assessment and challenge
