We are offering an interesting position as an Administrative Project Coordinator to work on an NIH-funded global HIV drug resistance study.

The study is being conducted in different countries in Africa, South America and Asia Pacific regions, and the project coordinator will be responsible for taking care of all the administrative aspects within the framework of this study.


Duties and responsibilities:

Main tasks include (but are not restricted to):

  • Initiate and process Subawards, Fee-for-service contracts, Material and Data Transfer Agreements and Import/Export permits for all collaborators and study sites;
  • Arrange regular shipment of samples to the participating labs;
  • Process and track bills, invoices and other expenses from the study sites and service providers;
  • Ensure compliance with the funder's regulations;
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual progress reports and audits;
  • Take up various coordination tasks within the project as and when
  • Carry out daytoday administrative tasks for the project.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Education or further training in a relevant area;
  • Previous working experience in an international scientific environment, preferably with experience in administration of large scientific grants;
  • Experience in contract management, international shipments and finances related to (clinical) research projects;
  • Very good skills in English (both oral and written) and good knowledge of French;
  • Strong IT office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Reliable and communicative personality with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail;
  • Likes to work independently and on his/her own responsibility.
