Overview of Role


As Risk Manager within the Risk Department of Rothschild & Co Wealth Management Switzerland, you will join a team of seasoned risk professionals, with the aim to become a partner to the businesses and functions.

Together, we support growth and profitability of the Bank and help retaining the appropriate risk management discipline to achieve the Bank's strategic goals.

For this role, we are open to consider job sharing possibilities and career returners are welcome as well.


Responsibilities:


  • Execution of the quarterly second line of defense controls in the area of Payments, Executiononly, Advisory and Portfolio Management to provide assurance over the quality of the first line of defense control environment to the Senior Management.
  • Performance of other second line of defense controls based on the annual and multiannual control plan (e.g., in the area of Fraud, Settlement, Private Lending etc.).
  • Act as deputy for the daily financial risk controls and custodian bank oversight function.
  • Administration of the annual control selfassessment process as well as maintaining of the control inventory in OpenPages.
  • Support of the other team members in various other tasks (e.g., annual risk assessment process, regular reports, adhoc requests etc.)
Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Business or Finance related field or Banking apprenticeship (Banklehre) with additional education (e.g., CAS)
  • Fully computer literate (MS Office, especially in Power Point and Excel)
  • Avaloq user experience would be an additional asset
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • At least 2 years of work experience gained within the financial industry or in a compliance/audit /control related function
  • Patience and flexibility, alongside being prepared to take on basic tasks as required
  • Independent work style, selfstarter and a reliable personality
  • Fluent in English and German, French is considered as a strong plus
