The EBU is looking for an Administrative Assistant based in Geneva.


ABOUT THE EBU NEWS DEPARTMENT


Eurovision News is a premier distributor of quality news content, a provider of news-related broadcast services and an advocate for public service journalism.

Its primary goal is to serve the needs of the EBU members according to its editorial standards and principles.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

The News Assistant:


Provides generic administrative and financial support to the News Administrative and Governance Manager, the News Senior Managers as well as the whole News Unit.

Provides logistics support under the guidance of the News Administrative and Governance Manager in the organization of meetings & conferences such as Internal Unit meetings, Assemblies, and other Community events.

Plays an active role in the smooth running of the News unit.


YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
2-3 years of work experience as an administrative assistant
Excellent IT-Application skills, (particularly WORD and ADOBE ACROBAT PRO/DC) and previous experience with SharePoint
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to details
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
Demonstrates the ability to take the initiative on developing creative and innovative solutions

Superior analytical skills:
ability to extract, interpret, analyse and format data and to resolve operational problems.

Strong customer service skills:
Ability to work with accuracy under time constraints and pressure; to deal patiently and tactfully with Members
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Ability to work effectively with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.


EDUCATION - Professional /High School


LANGUAGE - Excellent command of written and spoken English
