The Position

The Rail Product Coordinator plays a crucial role in our organization by successfully planning and executing rail movements of our products to our customers, from our suppliers and throughout our network.

The team works closely with various internal teams, such as sales, supply & trading, refinery and refinery optimization as well as with external counterparties such as rail transport providers, customers, suppliers and terminals, to ensure safe, efficient and effective delivery.

Your key responsibilities

As member of the Rail Execution team coordinate, plan and execute the rail movements of all products from and to the VARO refineries and various tank terminals
In Coordination with the local Sales, Supply and Trading teams in Baar, Hamburg and Rotterdam plan customer and supply deliveries by rail (block trains) Ensure availability of all required documents, send train documents to relevant counterparties like tank terminals and customers
Process loading and delivery quantities
Representation of team members within the rail execution team
Administrative work

Your profile - Essential

knowledge, skills &
abilities

A commercial education with min. 3 years of experience ideally in the transport sector
Great team player, reliable and resilient who enjoys working in a dynamic environment by interacting with internal and external counterparties
Exact, conscientious working methods and a high degree of reliability
Calm and considered manner
Quick perception, networked thinking and a talent for planning and organising
Enjoying a dynamic environment
Very good knowledge of German & English, knowledge of French an advantage
Good MS-Office skills
