Director of Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) Modeling

We are currently seeking a talented and innovative
Director of Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) Modeling to provide scientific and project leadership in the areas of quantitative systems pharmacology and mechanistic PK/PD modeling projects of different therapeutic modalities.

LYO-X is an established Swiss company located in Basel providing consulting and Quantitative Systems Pharmacology modelling services for the preclinical and clinical development of drugs to our customers worldwide.

Required Skills, Abilities and Education:

• PhD or equivalent in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, biophysics, mathematics, biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or related field
• At least 10 years of pharmaceutical or biotech experience in building QSP or mechanistic PK/PD models
• Excellent understanding of methodologies and principles of advanced mathematical modeling and simulations
• Understanding of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics modeling for preclinical and clinical biotherapeutics
• Understanding of drug discovery and development processes
• Expert in differential equations and coding with MATLAB, R and other relevant scientific computing languages
• Experience with population PK/PD models, statistical modeling is required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to engage and effectively communicate within a crossdisciplinary team is highly valued
• Prior experience as a project team representative on a multifunctional team is required.
• Experience managing workload and timeline and track record of delivering work on time
• Record of scientific achievement through peerreviewed publications, invited oral presentations, or patents
