The risks are evolving. The phenomena are intensifying, becoming more complex, and deviating from historical patterns. To respond to this, our division must anticipate, structure, and strengthen its capabilities within the framework of the implementation of the Elements canton, the Fire and Rescue Defense Division (DDIS) is strengthening its system and is looking for a: Specialized Inspector in risks Elements. As the cantonal DIS inspector, you will actively participate in the implementation of the Elements, mobilizing the three pillars of the ECA: Assure – Prevent – Rescue, with a particular emphasis on fire defense and rescue. You will contribute to structuring, coordinating, and leading projects related to extraordinary events (floods, landslides, storms, etc.). You will participate in the DDIS Taskforce and lead projects related to risks, facilitate working groups, ensure the quality and coherence of concepts, doctrines, lessons learned, and decision support, and ensure reporting to the Inspector. You will temporarily take over sector-specific files and ensure autonomous management. You will contribute to the development of skills of senior officers and cantonal specialists, participate in crisis management conduct, and coordinate the follow-up of internal and external activities. You will participate in DIS standby services, providing advice and support during special interventions. What is your profile? You hold a higher education degree (Bachelor or equivalent), with confirmed experience of 5 to 8 years in leading or managing complex projects, ideally acquired in an institutional context. A firefighter officer for at least 5 years, you have solid crisis management experience. You possess an instructor's diploma in firefighting or adult education, or are willing to obtain it. You have good knowledge of stakeholder management and technical skills. You are proficient in office tools and have a good understanding of integrated systems. Mastery or a strong interest in data analysis tools, particularly geographic information systems (GIS), is an asset. You are comfortable with German (reading and oral expression) and ideally have a B1 level. Additionally, you demonstrate logical, structured, and solution-oriented thinking, with excellent leadership and influence abilities. You have a sense of institutional awareness and a good knowledge of the canton of Vaud, and you show flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and emergency services.Are you interested?
