In the R&D department for gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) in Zurich, Oerlikon we are looking for a student for a six to nine-month internship(100%) for the team Global Product Support.

We offer you a job in a dynamic and agile environment with ambitious goals.

You will gain insight into the interrelationship of technology and product care of high voltage switchgear, in which we offer you active participation in our core activities.

You will work and be integrated in a team of ten experts in the field of high voltage technologies and thus have the possibility to extend and deepen your knowledge.

The internship is also ideal for gaining insight into a modern R&D department.

Our flexible work practices help you optimize personal and business performance while creating an environment where all employees can develop their skills and grow.

Responsibilities:

Support project work in the area of GIS product development
Execution, evaluation and documentation of tests
Development of tools (Excel, VBA,) that support our product development and maintenance
Participation in addressing shortterm issues in the context of the daytoday business

Your background

Student in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or closely related fields
Ability to work well in a team
Creative, independent and solutionoriented approach
Good knowledge of English and German is a must
Minimum education level: Bachelor
Programming skills or open to acquiring them (Excel, VBA, Matlab,)
