Hitachi Energy High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution.

The Service unit is responsible for the worldwide after sales support of generator circuit-breaker (GCB) systems and gas insulated switchgears (GIS), including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services, troubleshooting, extensions, retrofits and replacements.

Responsibilities:


  • Demonstrate a strong commitment towards health and safety standards and guidelines, management systems, and procedures
  • Communicate health and safety initiatives, processes, and procedures throughout the organization to ensure all persons have a common and uniform understanding
  • Monitor compliance of health and safety requirements and handling nonconformance issues according to relevant procedures
  • Assist and guide all levels of management, supervisors, and employees onsite to implement accident prevention activities plus where necessary provide an interface to Contractors/Clients
  • Rollout, where necessary, initiate and maintain quality input of a health and safety management system
  • Carry out safety audits, investigate accidents and root causes, introduce, and supervise corrective actions
  • Provide guidance on competencybased health and safety training for all persons throughout the organization
Your background

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of health and safety in project/customer sites and the role a safety system plays in managing the overall risk profile of a site
  • Practical "handson" experience in developing and managing safety systems with the ability to dig into sitespecific details and develop solutions to complex safety issues
  • Knowledge about OSHA legislation for construction sites
  • Working experience in Safetyrelated positions.
  • Solutionsoriented personality with a strong engagement
  • Knowledge of and belief in the 5 HOP principals
