About The Role
In this role you would be responsible for the data & analytics platform and the build of new offerings for both L&H and P&C solutions:

  • You will lead the team of data architects, engineers, BI experts, etc. and together with the risk analytics and consulting team to deliver develop cutting-edge client solutions
  • In collaboration with the risk analytics and consulting team, your team will deliver all the technology aspects in client and vendor implementations, POC developments and ensure scalability via operationalization of our data & analytics solutions for our clients
  • You will work in a multidisciplinary environment with Product Owners and Managers, Data Scientist, and engineering team to build and productionize the data assets
  • You will provide strategic architecture leadership to your team, improve the scalability of analytics platform and solutions, drive the release strategy and guide the delivery of strategic projects in data & analytics
  • You will develop architectures that are inherently secure, robust, scalable, modular, APIcentric and global. You will maintain awareness of dependencies between projects and delivery vision, while ensuring engineering excellence
  • As a leader, you will build outstanding successful data engineering team and will be part of the analytics and consulting leadership team

About You

  • Experience in reinsurance in either the L&H and/or P&C space
  • University degree (or similar) in Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Statistics or Engineering
  • Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, storage systems, cloud infrastructure
  • In depth skills on various technologies needed for data science and data engineering and proficiency with programming languages such as Python/PySpark, R, Java, SQL or similar. Knowledge of Palantir Foundry platform is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in teams with both technical and nontechnical individuals in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives
  • Have a successful track record of leading architecture work for large scale projects that represent broad critical initiatives meeting quantifiable business objectives and resulting in tangible impact for the organization
  • Client centric and entrepreneurial approach, while also having strong knowledge about future tech trends and thus how to position and develop the analytics platform best
  • Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills, including ability to effectively communicate architectural issues and concepts to multiple organization levels, executive management as well as clients and partners of Swiss Re
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficient in English
