Beschreibung

The Pharma Business Development Account Director assists in leading, developing, selling, contracting, and collaborating on strategies for effective pharma client business development opportunities.

Initially this will include selling Ascent data and services to existing and emerging pharma clients.

In addition, this includes managing ongoing external pharma client relationships to ensure consistent satisfaction of the contractual services are delivered in an effective and efficient manner.


What you will be working on:

  • Sell, direct, and assess the quality, consistency, and satisfaction of services provided and sold.
  • Assist Sr. Director in managing profit, revenue and gross margin for assigned clients.
  • Assist Sr. Director in developing strategic work plan goals to include, but not limited to, gross margin, renewal, and upsell targets.
  • Collaborating on the implementation of new accounts, products, policies and services.
  • Working with crossfunctional areas such as finance, legal, and operations to ensure successful programs.
  • Act as a consultant in ongoing pharmaclient relationships to ensure retention targets are met.
  • Negotiating pharma contracts, amendments, and SOW's.
  • Leading and participating in sales presentations to potential clients.
  • Working cross functionally to maximize sales volume, client upsells and new market opportunities.
  • Working on special projects and task forces as assigned.
  • Managing, training and guiding Sr. Advisor level individuals

Your Profile:


  • Sales, negotiation and leadership skills are essential.
  • Experience leading client meetings.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing contracts with utmost integrity.
  • Ability to develop strategic work plans and assess opportunities to grow profitable business.
  • Ability to assess program metrics and financials.
  • Ability, confidence and experience to be counterparts with Pharma contacts with 20 years of experience in the business.
