The Event

Fast forward your career with EY NextGen Women – a global event for female students to kickstart your career within Strategy and Transactions or Business Consulting at EY. Challenge your technical abilities in a group and showcase your individual skills during our event on 13th and 14th May 2024.

The experience is yours to build as you will have the chance to represent EY Switzerland during the finals in Autumn 2024 and win an internship at EY Switzerland

Diving into Business Consulting and Strategy and Transactions

Strategy and Transactions enables clients to navigate complexity by reimagining their eco-systems, reshaping their portfolios and reinventing themselves for a better future. With global connectivity and scale, we drive corporate strategy, capital allocation and transaction advisory through execution to enable fast-track value creation. We support the flow of capital across borders and help bring new products and innovation to market. In doing so, we enable our clients to build a better working world by fostering long-term value.

Our focus is on mergers, acquisitions, disposals, IPOs, carve-outs to spin off parts of a company and much more – all while never losing sight of the big picture: the work in this area is fascinating and challenging.

What we are looking for

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Switzerand in a field of study that demonstrates an interest in business and can be leveraged to build a career in Strategy and Transactions or Business Consulting. Some examples may include (not limited to) Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance & Accounting, Management, Marketing;
• Fluency in English is a must. Fluency in German advantageous; French is a plus;
• Ability to work in Switzerland without restrictions;
• Passionate about Building a Better Working World, demonstrated through extra-curricular and/or community service projects;
• Interested in a practical learning approach and in learning-by-doing;
• Curious about new ways of working and how the use of technology can impact how businesses make decisions;
• A strong team player with the ability to build quality relationships with colleagues and clients;
• Strong analytical capabilities, comfortable working with data and ability to recognize patterns;
• Being a creative thinker with a global mindset and inclusive mentality.

How to best prepare for the event

• Be curious: Look into current topics and trends influencing the Swiss and international business world;
• Make a list of all open questions regarding your career planning that are important to you;
• Be open: Together we will think "out of the box" and question the status quo.
