We are looking for a motivated team player for the field of vehicle control technology within the ABB Traction Division in Turgi/Switzerland. If you enjoy realizing projects from specification to implementation to commissioning on the vehicle, then this is your challenge as a control technology system engineer.

Your responsibilities

• Assistance in analyzing and cleaning up customer requirements as well as conceptual design of the vehicle control system (TCMS hardware and software)
• Assistance in the specification of the interfaces to subsystems including technical coordination with suppliers
• Carrying out system analyses, concept studies and feasibility studies
• Creation of vehicle software
• Verification and validation of vehicle software
• Support of initial commissioning and vehicle type tests
• Support in the preparation of homologation documents

Your background

• Completed studies as an electrical engineer, computer scientist (university or university of applied sciences) or comparable training
• Well experienced in the TCMS area
• Good knowledge of software and systems engineering
• Familiarity with the Indian railway market and regulatory authorities is an advantage
• Good written and spoken English and German (resp. willingness to learn German), other foreign languages an advantage
• Committed and communicative team player with structured work style and willingness to travel for short business trips
