Context :

As part of its 3-year strategic ambitions, Bank Syz is strengthening its Accounting Unit, under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer.

The Accounting Unit is in charge of preparing the Bank's financial statements and regulatory statistics, as well as those of the Syz Group's other operating entities.

The Unit has also recently launched an ambitious process-automation program.


Job summary:
The Senior Accountant will be in charge of all the regulatory statistics (SNB) for the Bank and the Group. The incumbent will also support the Head of Accounting in running regulatory and accounting operations.

Mission


Job description / key responsibilities:


  • Produce and provide to the SNB the regulatory statistics for both Banque Syz SA and the Group's other operating entities
  • Liaise with the Risk team for all matters related to Basel Principles
  • Prepare adhoc analyses and simulations relating to capital adequacy and advise the organization on its corporate actions
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for specific bank's accounts
  • Assist the Head of Accounting in establishing the endofyear and halfyear financial statements of Bank Syz and of the Syz Group's other entities
  • Carry out ad hoc tasks as requested by the Head of Accounting and the CFO
Profil

Professional experience

  • 5+ years' proven experience in a regulatory and accounting role in a bank, preferably in the wealth management and/or asset management area
  • Expert in financial regulation, especially in the field of Basel Principles
  • External Audit or Accounting firm experience considered a plus

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent qualification)
