    Pricing Strategy Senior Analyst

    Expedia Group is revolutionising travel through the Power of Technology The Pricing team combines strategy, operations, and analytics specialists to help craft the way Expedia Group offers competitive and differentiated promotions on conventional lodging, vacation rentals, transport, and package products across each of its retail brands.

    The team is looking for a fast-learner with an eye for detail to join the team as a Pricing Strategy Senior Analyst to support the Trips business unit. In this role, you will use critical thinking, commercial acumen, research and analysis skills and collaborate with leaders across Expedia Group's teams to make recommendations on promotions and pricing, based on outstanding insight into the profitability and customer impact of these programs.

    What you'll do:

    • Contributes to the development and implementation of pricing strategic initiatives and become subject matter expert in pricing
    • Think big and small – shape and drive the direction of Expedia Group's pricing offering for the Trips business unit, based on commercial and analytical acumen and an understanding of our brand strategies and marketplace economics
    • Understand customer impact of different levers and offerings and their role in the context of our brand strategies and the competitive environment in travel
    • Find opportunities to simplify and improve our offering and drive their implementation
    • Partner with a world class analytics team and ops team dedicated to pricing to develop data-driven and meaningful recommendations
    • Able to deep-dive into data to extract relevant insights
    • Deliver critical initiatives, working closely with partners across marketing, product, finance, supply and pricing operations functions
    • Communicate findings in compelling presentations

    Who you are:

    • At least 2 years of work experience in strategy consulting and/or in the Travel & Hospitality sectors in strategy or pricing roles
    • Specific experience in online travel, airline business, car business, package business, retail pricing is a strong plus
    • Experience of working in cross-team, multi-stakeholder projects and teams
    • Experience working with and interpreting data and analytics
    • Academic background in a business and/or quantitative subject area
    • Proficient in MS Excel, Powerpoint and SQL required
    • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus
    • Logical and structured thinker, able to simplify sophisticated business problems, and communicate complex concepts concisely and clearly
    • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
    • Positive attitude and strong team spirit
    • Comfortable working through uncertainty and ambiguity
    • Eye for business, desire to learn, and bias to action
