Draftsperson (Konstrukteur/in EFZ) – 12 months contract - Wetzikon, Schweiz - Kopter

As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.
Kopter is set to become Leonardo's Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter's 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).

Your responsibilities

► Development and integration of early drafts, creation of prototypes (not released design data), design and documentation in accordance with the design
► Development and design of structural elements related to ATA chapters J32, J52, J53, J55, J56, J71 and / or J78
► Design by considering general design constraints such as cost, manufacturing limitations, design feasibility and interface documents
► Have common knowledge about quality management system (QMS) and aviation certification requirements
► Collaborate actively in the development project, by obtaining and sharing trans-sectoral knowledge and information
► Complies with, and implements, the legal aviation & safety requirements within their operations
► Implements the configuration management rules
► Design and develop according to specifications and safety classifications

Your qualifications, experience

► Completed apprenticeship as Draftsperson (Konstrukteur/Konstrukteurin EFZ) or three years of professional experience in technical field
► Experience in development and design of structural elements with composite and / or metallic Aerospace materials
► Experience in composite and / or metallic structural design within CAD software Siemens NX
► Good communication and collaboration skills with team members
► English minimum B2 verbal and written
