Position Summary

The Nestlé Research and Development Orbe (NRDO) is a leading R&D organization that discovers, develops and deploys coffee and beverage products and technologies for in-home and out-of-home consumption, as well as Nutrition and Dairy new technologies and products.

It provides new products and processes to all Nestlé markets worldwide.

As "

R&D CAPEX Team Manager", you will lead the CAPEX project strategy and the project team overseeing the capital investments on existing and new equipment/technologies.

You will drive the support to pilot plans with activities such as root causes analysis, expertise, compliance & the investment of the three businesses (Coffee, Nutrition, Dairy).

In this position, you will manage, support and develop your team so they can provide engineering competences and CAPEX process expertise in the Nestlé Research & Development in Orbe (NRDO) centre.

You will lead the production development while ensuring people health and safety, product safety and environment are never compromised.

Moreover, you will be the link between all stakeholders by being in close contact with the engineering units & the product development groups of each business related to R&D centre.

A Day in the Life of a R&D CAPEX Team Manager

Lead & improve the CAPEX processes (ways of working)
Ensure milestones are reached on time & budget
Ensure information is well documented
Ensure a CAPEX governance to drive the investment envelope for Coffee & support Nutrition & Dairy / Build and consolidate the CAPEX envelope for the following year
Ensure regular financial reporting to management
Train, coach and develop the site project team
Train, coach & support engineers from different departments & structures to the NRDO CAPEX ways of working
Ensure the right support to operations in the pilot plan / Develop & support the activities of engineering compliance
Implement some projects or find external competencies to face specific situation

What will make you successful

Bachelor/master's degree in the field of engineering (Mechanical, E&A, Process or Industrial Engineering) or similar
Min. 5 years of experience in Manufacturing or R&D projects management and Industrialization in an international project environment.
CAPEX projects management experience ideally in the food industry
People management experience
Fluent in English and French (spoken, read)
