What You Can Expect:

Service is an essential part of the capital sales program within Zimmer Biomet.

The Associate Director Technical Services holds the responsibility for creating and implementing the EMEA After Sales service strategy for powertools, skin grafting portfolio, tourniquets and arthroscopy equipment.

The AD Technical Services is accountable for organizing and managing the overseeing of the repair and maintenance through our service centers, for our affiliates and distributors.

His/her team supports the countries throughout the region with information to expand their service offering to our customers.


How You Create Impact:


  • Creates the strategy, develops and improves the service for our affiliates and distributors within the EMEA region by setting up service programs that meet our customer needs.
  • Manages the crossEMEA team or professionals.
  • Manages our two service centers, in Budapest/Moscow and evaluates further requirements within our region.
  • Responsible for structuring of service and financing offerings.
  • Provides monthly and quarterly reports to evaluate KPI from our service centers.
  • Shows accountability for the performance metrics of the region, related to service activities.
  • Expands the service capabilities of the existing service centers by adding product groups.
  • Develops solid processes, guidelines and learning materials for our internal customers.
  • Manages the information flow to support postmarket surveillance, by Investigate product complaints to identify root cause analysis following established processes.
  • Promotes our service offering to the sales and marketing team.
  • Continual Process Improvement provides feedback to management team and support functions to improve processes and find efficiencies.
  • Oversees and directs regional service, quality and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Works closely with 3rd party suppliers to ensure a first class aftersales service through EMEA.
  • Collaborates with all functional groups, as IT, Finance and QA to resolve various operating issues.

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Bachelor's degree or similar. Master's degree preferred.
  • Should speak English and at least one other language fluently

What Will Make You Successful:


  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the health care industry, preferably in the field services
  • Ideally has prior repair center experience
  • Ability to influence others, and through strong organizational skills, successfully engaging key internal and external stakeholders within matrix environment
  • Demonstration of strong business acumen, experience in key account management, crossselling and sales force management or market development preferred
  • Comfortable and experienced managing communications at all organizational levels, externally and internally
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
