Postdoc Position at Flexible Structures Laboratory:


Your mission:


Main duties and responsibilities include:

As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will be expected to lead and execute original experimental, computational, and/or theoretical research.

This involves the design and fabrication of innovative experimental apparatuses, as well as the comprehensive acquisition, analysis, and interpretation of experimental data, rationalizing these through effective modeling.

You will communicate your findings through peer-reviewed manuscripts and presentations at conferences. We value mentorship and collaboration, and you will have the opportunity to assist with the supervision of Ph.
D., Masters, and Bachelor students. Further, you may have the chance to collaborate with external academic and industrial partners.

Lastly, you will be actively involved in teaching activities of our laboratory, which include assisting with lectures, preparing pedagogical materials, and supervising student projects.

The successful Postdoc will join a vibrant, collaborative, international, and diverse research team, renowned for its interdisciplinary expertise in experimental, computational, and theoretical mechanics.

The focus of research activity at the fleXLab is centered around curiosity-driven research in the general area of physics and mechanics of soft/compliant mechanical structures.

Situated within the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, the fleXLab boasts unique, state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and experimental equipment, offering an unparalleled research environment.

Opportunities for involvement in the teaching of mechanics-related classes will be provided both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
