Introduction:

Presentation:

You will be employed with HEC Lausanne and work in the Competence Center Corporate Data Quality (CC CDQ), an industry-funded research consortium and expert community.

As member of the CC CDQ research team, you will closely collaborate with 20 global companies from different industries (such as AstraZeneca, Bayer, Beiersdorf, Bosch, Merck, Nestlé, Siemens, Tetrapak).

At least 50% of the assistant's time will be dedicated to the research for the doctoral thesis.

Contract length : 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years

Your responsibilities:

You will be driving our research activities on data management for sustainability:

analyze sustainability regulations and reporting requirements, and derive guidelines for enterprise data strategies that support sustainability goals

- develop innovative approaches for managing sustainability data and test them in pilot projects or focus groups
- conduct case studies on platforms, concepts and solutions for managing sustainability data in business ecosystems
- prepare research deliverables and present them at workshops or webinars
- publish academic articles in top outlets and present your research at international conferences
- support teaching activities, student projects and Master theses

Your qualifications:

Master's degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Management, or Computer Science
Strong interest for sustainability and datarelated topics (data strategy, data architecture, analytics) in the business context
Technical skills, such as programming and/or data modelling and analysis
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Good writing skills and fluency in English; German and/or French are a plus
Internships and/or practical experience as consultant, analyst or developer
