THE ROLE


Today, for MSC Air Cargo, we are looking for a Regional Commercial Manager that will spearhead the implementation of the air cargo commercial strategy ensuring the successful marketing of all MSC air cargo services including premium products.

The Regional Commercial Manager will identify, opportunities, negotiate local and regional space agreements and manage GSA's on behalf of MSC to increase MAC market share and network utilization.


YOUR IMPACT

As the Regional Commercial Manager, you will:

  • Drive local commercial activity ensuring the delivery of targeted revenue growth
  • Manage GSA and in house sales teams, ensuring that they are meting sales activity KPI's
  • Manage GSA relationships ensuring service level and contractual compliance
  • Maintain regional sales pipeline, monitoring win loss ratio
  • Be the primary owner of relationships with current and prospective MSC Customers in their region including leading commercial negotiations
  • Utilize data to analytically steer regions sales teams and GSA's
  • Manage local GSA reservations ensuring correctly represented flight booking and remaining capacity
  • Own local relationships with global and key accounts, forging and maintaining relationships with executive level leadership as well as key gateway managers
  • Perform regular competitive landscape review at all online points
  • Regularly report on commercial activities and results to Director Airfreight and Head of Commercial
  • Identify opportunities in underserved markets to the Director Air Freight and Head of Network
  • Provide significant input into the endtoend commercial process integrating market expectations, network and capacity planning, product strategy, and sales channel definition to ensure MAC offers the quickest speed to market with an innovative and complete service offering

YOUR BACKGROUND
To succeed in the role, you will need the following background and key requirements:

  • 5 years of air cargo experience at the management level with knowledge of Airline Cargo Commercial activities
  • Have experience in leading diverse sales team across multiple countries and a solid ability to influence an organization
  • Extensive knowledge of AFR and OFR Export/Import Operations including customs and security regulations
  • Knowledge and experience with AMCI, Charter, and dedicated lift solutions
  • Work independently
  • Strive for high quality, and have the ability to add strength to our teams
  • Be flexible, highly motivated, and open to travel
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability
  • Great interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Be fluent in English, further languages would be a plus
