Group Consolidation Manager

Join our Group Accounting team in Winterthur as Group Consolidation Manager, reporting to the Head Group Accounting.

You will have a central role in our Group Accounting team, be the point of contact to support our teams world-wide with the closing process, perform the Group's consolidation and prepare internal reports.


Your main tasks and responsibilities:


  • Managing the monthly Group Consolidation process
  • Monthly preparation of consolidated financial statements including cash flow statement
  • Preparation of internal management reports and the external midyear and annual reports
  • Key role in implementation of our new consolidation tool CCH Tagetik
  • System owner of the consolidation tool SAP BPC and later CCH Tagetik
  • Ensure quality and integrity of financial and accounting data via sanity checks and balance sheet reviews
  • Support legal entities and other stakeholders in accounting and consolidation questions
  • Support in different international projects and adhoc requests

What you bring to Sulzer:


  • Work experience: >7 years
  • Expertise (e.g.

professional, technical):

  • Several years of experience in a similar function, ideally in a listed group
  • Extensive experience in practical and theoretical consolidation
  • Good knowledge of IFRS
  • Education: Bachelor Degree
  • Subject: Finance with focus in Accounting and Controlling
  • Certifications: Certified Public Accountant is a plus
  • Languages: Fluency in English and ideally German (written and verbal)
  • Soft skills:
  • Excellent communication skills and team spirit
  • Proactive and analytical mindset
  • Other:
  • Excellent Excel and project management skills
  • Track record in SAP BPC, CCH Tagetik or other reporting tool would be an asset
