    The Bank for International Settlements, BIS is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner.

    This role is based in Basel, Switzerland however, thanks to our status as an international organization, we can hire globally and welcome applications from candidates of all nationalities and located anywhere in the world. Relocation support is available for the successful candidate and their dependent family members.

    Purpose of the job:

    The BIS supports the global financial system by supporting central banks' pursuit of monetary and financial stability. The Human Resources Business Partner supports this mission by partnering, advising and providing insights to business areas on topics relating to performance management, employee relations, organisational development, and talent management. In addition, the HRBP will support in the successful implementation of business strategies and objectives and will design, implement and improve HR policies and processes.

    Principal accountabilities:

    1. Provide HR advice to the business

    ·Support the business areas through organisation development and communication initiatives and interventions to assure appropriate change management.

    ·In cooperation with the relevant HR specialists, provide support and advice to senior management, line managers and staff regarding staff and organisation matters and the interpretation, implementation and impact of HR rules, regulations and processes including providing support on managing employment issues.

    ·Lead initiatives for capability building of LMs (training/workshops design of content and delivery and advisory in development planning for LMs).

    ·Support in areas relating to talent development (mobility, up/re skilling, development planning); participate in line management and senior recruiting for the assigned business area.

    2. Identify, develop and implement HR and interdependent processes as part of the centre of expertise for assigned areas

    ·Contribute to the development of the CoE strategy; develop and update CoE policies, processes and tools.

    ·Drive the capabilities' building of LMs and other leaders through the design of effective consulting, coaching, mentoring and training programmes.

    ·Drive the skill building and talent development efforts and programmes for staff by developing and implementing the BIS learning, training and development programmes.

    ·Promote staff engagement by supporting and advising LMs and staff, including through the management of staff engagement/culture/satisfaction surveys processes.

    ·Support BIS diversity initiatives.

    3. Efficient and client focused processes

    ·Constantly improve the implementation of the key HR Business Partnering (HRBP) processes and tools across the BIS: performance management, talent management, LTI, grievances, coaching, mediation, fixed term policy due diligence process, among others.

    ·Optimize and develop HRBP unit processes, systems and tools using HR technology and innovation.

    ·Analyse and report key HRBP KPIs and trends.

    ·Assure compliance of internal controls and procedures within the HRBP unit (e.g. compliance, procurement, audit, legal) and perform effective vendor management of outsourced HRBP services and activities.

    ·Interact with the Staff Consultative Committee in aspects related to the assigned CoE area and drive the respective consultative processes.

    Qualifications, skills, and experience:

    ·University degree in business, human resources or a related field or the equivalent experience.

    ·Varied HR functional skills: facilitation, relationship management, mentoring, coaching, people management.

    ·Good understanding of the principles of HR operations, HR legal, compliance and audit and HR operations and administration.

    ·Knowledge of labour frameworks, policies and practices in HR.

    ·Excellent analytical and technology skills: data handling, reporting, system management.

    ·Influencing skills at managerial and senior levels.

    ·Ability for problem diagnosis and solving.

    ·Excellent written and verbal communication.

    ·Varied soft skills: conflict management, interaction and relationship building, negotiation, sensitive employment issue management.

    ·Energetic and proactive team collaboration skills.
