Position Summary

To complete our Site Management department team based in Orbe, we are currently looking for a Laboratory Supervisor whose main responsibilities will be to lead a team of around 10 Laboratory Technicians and coordinate daily/weekly laboratory activities to ensure in time delivery of results in alignment with business priorities.

Furthermore, as a Laboratory Supervisor, you will drive the development & the execution of standardized analytical methods to characterize beverage dispensing machine and resulting in-cup quality.

A Day in the Life of a Laboratory Supervisor

Act as first point of contact for all technical & analytical group related activities
Set collective and individual objectives which enable agile & high performing team
Coach team members to support their development and their empowerment
Identify and develop required competences to build the team expertise
Contribute to the expertise development and to the industrialization of beverage systems
Review Standard Operating Procedures and R&D Memos written by team members
Scout for new analytical equipment, perform critical evaluation and propose investment or potential technical collaboration
Ensure operational and analytical excellence through Good Laboratory Practices and strict respect of She in labs Standards
Share analytical science knowledge with experts from other R&D centers

What will make you successful

Degree in Physics, Material Sciences, Analytical Science, Biochemistry, Chemistry or other relevant field

years of experience in R&D Laboratory

Good Mastery of Laboratory Practices and Safety in Laboratory
Excellent skills on method validation
Strong experience and Knowledge on Food & Beverage development
Analytical thinking and highly developed problemsolving mindset
Solid knowledge of "Microsoft Office" tools (incl. PowerBi, PowerApp) and strong affinity with digital tools
Several years of experience in people management (incl. development of project management skills)
Fluent in French & English (written & spoken)

You are able to work in a team, demonstrate a creative and innovative mindset.

You are willing to accept change and have the ability to manage it and are able to develop personal relations based on trust and mutual respect.
