A private family is seeking an experienced and dedicated Yacht Deckhand to join their team and ensure the smooth operation of their yacht in the beautiful waters of Switzerland and the French Riviera.


As a Private Yacht Deckhand, you will be responsible for maintaining the family's yacht to the highest standards, ensuring the safety and comfort of all on board.

You will work closely with the yacht's crew to provide exceptional service while respecting the family's need for privacy and discretion.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Safety and Security:
  • Implement and maintain strict safety protocols for the family and crew.
  • Conduct regular safety drills and inspections.


  • Yacht Maintenance:

  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the yacht's exterior.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all equipment and tenders.


  • Guest Services:

  • Greet and assist family members and guests with discretion and professionalism.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, attending to their needs and preferences.

Operations Support:

  • Assist the Captain with navigation and mooring operations.
  • Maintain a vigilant watch during cruising.


  • Tender Operations:

  • Operate tenders and water toys for family and guest enjoyment.
  • Ensure the safety of family members and guests during water activities.


  • Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and replenish supplies, including fuel, water, and provisions.
  • Keep an inventory of safety equipment and maintenance supplies.


  • Privacy and Discretion:

  • Uphold the family's privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:


Qualifications:


  • Previous experience as a yacht deckhand is essential.
  • Valid STCW certification and other relevant maritime qualifications.
  • Strong swimming skills and water safety knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Fluent in English (knowledge of French is a plus).
  • Eligibility to work in Switzerland : EU passport, Swiss Passport or Swiss Work Permit
