At ONWARD we're looking for a Supply Chain Internship to join our team.

Full-time - Lausanne


About the job:

Reporting to the Operations Management department, you will be under the supervision of the Procurement manager.

Your main role will be to conduct some projects and assist in the definition of processes and rules for planification, procurement and logistic.

You will also be involved in the development of the master data management activity.


Supply chain/procurement:


  • Attend to the definition of the supply and production strategy by creating the related processes and rules
  • Support the creation of new value streams in an international environment
  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary projects to prepare the introduction of new product into the market
  • Build and execute reporting's related to manufacturing and supply chain
  • Support the sourcing team with spend analysis and reporting
  • Deliver insights and identify opportunities to drive supplier management in an efficient way
  • Support the team in the development of preferred supplier lists
  • Drive noncritical or low spend strategic sourcing events (RFx)
  • Assist the team on sourcetopay process improvement related activities
  • Assist in managing supplier databases

Master data

  • Design and work with internal and external partners to create, maintain, and update all master data systems.
  • Develop, implement, and document best practices for data integrity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify areas of improvement and establish processes to define and maintain critical data elements and attributes.
  • Analyse and resolve data issues, overlaps, and gaps.
  • Oversee implications to master data structures within the lifecycle of ERP management
  • Monitor data quality and integrity across systems.
  • Develop and maintain data standards and policies to ensure adherence to organizational guidelines.
  • Create and deliver training programs to educate users on master data management
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

About you:


  • You are an engineer or university student with a specialisation in Supply Chain Management or procurement
  • You have a good command of MS Office systems and tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI) and ERP data extraction.
  • You speak English and French fluently.
  • Autonomy, curiosity, proactivity, a taste for investigation and the ability to manage process implementation.
