PURPOSE OF THE JOB:


The Pension Manager is responsible to support, manage and coordinate all aspects of PMI pension funds worldwide in a manner that complies with corporate and market requirements and provides a superior rate of return for all pension funds worldwide.


YOUR DAY TO DAY:


PENSION PROJECTS - Provide effective expert advice and support to PMI Benefits, local project teams and/or Trustees with respect to the implementation of new or alternative pension plan structures and to the preparation of proposals for senior PMI management approval.

In this context, manage the selection process of pension service providers worldwide by leveraging PMI's position with global service providers (financial institutions and insurers) to achieve economies of scale, negotiate optimum contractual terms and conditions, and oversee the effective implementation of the new structures.

Monitor all liability risk management options and de-risking strategies worldwide.

Together with PMI HR department, you will advise and propose alternative to the current pension plan design to optimize pension risks.

Conduct special projects as directed, research and keep abreast of pension funds related legal and market developments and practices, assess relevance to recommend enhancements or changes to plans structures.


ASSETS INVESTMENTS - Formulate investment strategies and oversee the investments of all PMI corporate Defined Benefits (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) plans worldwide.

Direct implementation of optimum portfolios and investment choices for all PMI DB and DC pension plans to ensure superior rates of return.

Proactively evaluate alternative investment instruments as potential substitutes for existing pension portfolios to improve plans' return and/or mitigate underlying risks and exposures and strengthen PMI pension funds competitiveness.

Advise and train PMI pension Trustees on all matters relating to pension management, investments, and governance.


MONITORING, GOVERNANCE and REPORTING - Direct the review and monitoring of the funding status, cash flow and rates of return of PMI pension plans worldwide and ensure that corrective investment or funding actions are implemented.

Support monthly and quarterly performance reporting, monitor Quarter End and Year End reporting activities with consolidation department mainly (10k review, budget, cash contributions, etc.)


ACTUARIAL VALUATION and ALM STUDIES - Direct strategic Asset Liability Modeling studies across PMI to ensure that present and future funded DB pension liabilities are met through an optimum asset allocation.


Year-end activities: Review and validate actuarial and financial assumptions for US GAAP pension reporting purposes and ensure that PMI year-end reporting requirements are adhered to by relevant PMI affiliates.

Support in the discussion with external auditors and supervise key financial disclosures. Provide effective advice to PMI Trustees to ensure the accurateness and consistency of the various actuarial and financial assumptions.

FIDUCIARY ROLE- Active member of pension and investments Committees. Monitor and help to enhance PMI's Pension Governance across the globe.


WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Education and work experience

  • University degree in Finance and/or Economics, actuarial Science (must), statistics or equivalent
  • 510 years of proven experience in Pension and retirement benefits, Pension actuarial function, asset investments, or any combination of these.
  • Relevant skills in:
  • Actuarial firm and pension actuarial valuation
  • Finance and accounting, including US GAAP standards
  • Occupational pension plan in Switzerland
  • Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMGC)

OTHER SKILLS

  • Excellent level of French and English (written and verbal)
  • Strategic thinking
  • Strong analytical and problems
