General Description:

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Lead the development of clear, actionable and differentiated marketing strategies and launch plans for the commercialization of BeiGene's oncology portfolio across SRE countries. Ensure alignment with the overall European brand strategy; this includes a portfolio of omnichannel and digital initiatives, innovative customer engagement models, customercentric materials to amplify marketing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Drive the crossfunctional development and implementation of SRE and country integrated tactical plans (regional and local) aligned to brand strategy and within agreed budget and timelines.
  • Lead and collaborate with SRE Oncology Product Managers on the delivery of localized promotional materials where needed.
  • Contribute to the development of European and Global marketing content where required by working closely with crossfunctional teams and external partners (to ensure end product is useful for SRE countries).
  • Continually monitor oncology market and competitive landscape to feed brand strategy and tactics based on global / European and country level field insights and market research/analytics. Based on this, drive optimization of country marketing plans and tactics in collaboration with country teams.
  • Identify market research needs to inform and complement local strategy and launch plans.
  • Identify agencies/vendors/technologies/tools that can benefit the execution of tactics (regional and local level) in collaboration with local teams.
  • Coordinate the development, organization and delivery of solid tumor disease area and productrelated trainings for SRE affiliates.
  • Participate in national and international scientific meetings, symposia and workshops.
  • Ensure that all marketing activities are in compliance with BeiGene ́s Standards of conduct and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Oversee appropriate process associated with the review and approval of promotional materials to ensure compliant and timely delivery.
  • Forge strong teamoriented working relationship with key stakeholders: in particular with SRE Product Managers, Key Account Managers, Field Innovation and Capabilities Lead, Global and European counterparts (e.g. EU Brand Team), Country/General Managers and country Commercial and Medical Directors.
  • Contribute to forecasting process for oncology product(s), ensuring use of uptodate and realistic assumptions based on market and sales insights.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Min 10 years' work experience in a Commercial/Marketing role in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industries or within an advertising agency (focus on pharmaceutical/biotechnology), including both regional and local affiliate roles
  • Oncology marketplace launch experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and processes within a growing organization
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to a changing environment
  • Expertise and track record of successful marketing plan development and implementation, budget management and tracking progress of campaigns
  • Strong strategic thinker with ability to formulate, develop and execute strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and cultivate effective internal working relationship with multilayer, crossfunctional counterparts across geographies
  • Omnichannel and Digital Marketing experience desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including strong formal presentation skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and impact on development of marketing materials is required
  • Fluent in English; and at least one other SRE country language advantageous.

Senior Director Commercial Operations & Strategic Marketing (Sub-Region Europe)


Education Required:

  • Degree in Business Administration or Life Science required (e.g. Pharmacy, Medicine and Biology)
  • MBA or other advanced degree is a plus

Computer Skills:
PC, including MS Office Suite

Travel: 20-30%
