The
Head of Client Review must manage the Wealth Management Client Periodic Review team, ensuring that the team fulfills its main missions and duties.
**- Provide from time-to-time guidance and expertise on quality standards and regulatory requirements to WM Front Office when necessary;
- Synchronize with Compliance and Client Documentation teams to ensure standards are met.
- Raise and escalate any deviation to the adherence to the Bank's standards to the relevant management, control functions and/or committees;
- Upon Management's request, act as a relay of authority within the WM Markets on certain initiatives;
- Any other task required by Management relating to the mission of the employees;
- Regular meetings with WM Relationship Managers and Management.;
- Regular reporting and reports on activity and associated risks.
- Team Manager duties:
- The scope of this role is very broad and encompasses a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities that will include the following:
- Manage teams split between Zurich and Geneva to ensure effective and efficient monitoring of client periodic reviews;
- Forecast, plan and implement ongoing Client review projects ensuring all team members and bank wide employees are aligned with standards and processes;
- Ongoing monitoring, training and support of team members and the other stakeholders in respect of expected quality of deliveries;
- Follow up on planning delivery, identify any risk of not delivering, escalate and propose solutions to Management;
- Raise issues, discrepancies, and backlog on the review plan with WM Market and Region heads, aiming at finding and agreeing on solutions;
- Stakeholdership with IT, Operations and business stakeholders to ensure systems alignment with needs and requirements, and address development needs;
- Closely interact with Compliance Quality Assurance team to ensure standards are sustained, and sustainably address discrepancies;
- Address complex remediation and review cases with the team and relevant stakeholders within the organization (Compliance, WM Business Regulatory Advisory,);
- Ensure that escalation process is effective and efficient and that pragmatic decisions are formulated and followed with effect;
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience within the banking sector, in Compliance and Conformity functions.
- People management experience required;
- A detailed background and knowledge of Swiss AML and CDB regulatory frameworks and requirements to complete periodic reviews;
- Acumen and sensitivity to International Sanctions, Financial Crime, Cross Border matters, Tax and/or Investor protection frameworks a plus;
- Ability to recognize CDB document requirements and inform Relationship Managers of any inconsistencies or needs;
- Proven ability to work effectively with Front Office;
- Master Degree ;
- Fluent English a must; French and / or German a plus
