Join our Energy team within Flow Equipment division in Switzerland as Head Operational Procurement and Procurement Excellence - Energy BU.

Operational procurement is a significant contributor to success for our project business and togehter we can take it to the next level.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Develop and drive the Business Unit (BU) procurement strategy in close alignment with the business strategic plan and the global category management
Drive the procurement excellence journey with regard to processes, people and tools across all factories
Ensure BUspecific requirements are listened to and adequately reflected in the global functional development actions and strategies
Support development of projectspecific sourcing strategies on critical projects
Drive key operational procurement activities (e.g. key supplier development, crisis intervention support) within the BU
Ensure compliance and adherence to defined governance requirements
Coordinate functional development activities between factories and divisional / Group procurement, e.g. governance, digital, supplier development etc.
Manage own expediting resource and BU Digital Procurement Manager; functional dottedline responsibility for Factory Procurement Managers

What you bring to Sulzer:

Technical or commercial university degree with proven exposure to projectrelated procurement activities or project management experience in an EPC and engineeredtoorder market environment
Strong commercial acumen, good understanding of contract management and strong negotiation skills
Analytical mindset to structure and address issues fact and databased
High level of process competence in a projectdriven procurement environment
Ability to develop adequate technical competence for relevant commodities
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to connect and influence on all levels
Strong direct and indirect leadership skills to effectively perform in a matrix organization
Outstanding communication skills in English written and verbal; any other laguage is considered a plus
Readiness to travel globally on a regular basis
