Role:


Leads a team responsible for Indirect and Direct Purchasing, Planning of Manufacturing Activities, Warehouse as sell as logistics for the transportation and distribution of our products.

Interfaces with our suppliers of raw materials to assure appropriate quality and timely delivery to meet customer demands. Assures that purchasing team remains linked with global purchasing organization and with global projects.


Responsibilities and duties:

  • Leads a team responsible for Indirect and Direct Purchasing, Planning of Manufacturing Activities, Warehouse as sell as logistics for the transportation and distribution of our products. Interfaces with our suppliers of raw materials to assure appropriate quality and timely delivery to meet customer demands. Assures that purchasing team remains linked with global purchasing organization and with global projects.
  • Supervising observance of prescribed procedures and legal liabilities in warehousing and shipping of materials and products including customs and duties.
  • Identify continuous improvement actions within the product supply chain, and execute changes aimed at productivity and quality enhancements.
  • Delegate tasks and monitor performance and motivation of direct reports.
  • Drafting of reports, preparation of supplier tenders, commercial contract drafts or related support documents, SOPs, etc.
  • Participation in global Ferring projects and introduction of their outputs to local procedures.
  • Participate in S&OP process with Supply Network Organization to assure appropriate capacity to deliver on present and future customer demands. Manage S&OP process and associated actions.

Required Experience & Competences:

  • University degree and minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain/operations
  • Excellent negotiation skills, good leadership and team motivator
  • Analytical, business and inventory planning skills
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Tools, experience with SAP an asset
  • French and English
  • APICS/CPIM certification a plus
  • Lean/Operational excellence experience a plus
