Job Description Summary:

Join our Customer Applications Engineering team You will be driving and coordinating engineering activities of our team responsible for service offerings and upgrades for our gas turbine installed base.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide Technical Leadership to the Europe (EU) GE Services Application Engineering (AE) team in order to support Conversion, Modification and Upgrade (CM&U) extra work initiatives for GE's Sales, Services and Operation's customers.
  • Provide technical support to the Europe Services AE team in solutioning activities, Inquiry to Order (ITO) CM&U proposal development & production.
  • Attend Europe Sales Risk (R) Process, Prioritization and Planning meetings to help coordinate Services AE team work assignments.
  • Liaison to GE's Engineering Centre of Excellence Design Teams for in upgrade solutioning and ITO CM&U cost & cycle estimates.
  • Review technical validity of EU team Risk Process solutioning activities and ITO proposals prior to their release to the GE commercial teams.
  • Support the EU AE team in Engineering Proposal Deviation Review (EPDR) meetings and Product Line Management in EU region LifeCycle Board (LCB) Reviews
  • Monitor and coordinate EU Engineering requirements to Europe Region Technical Risk Assessments and EPDR/LCB processes.
  • Liaise with the GE EU Commercial and Requisition Engineering teams on CM&U project advanced release planning, communication & coordination.
  • Produce technical proposals, customer presentations, and internal GE and customer sales support for GE's CM&U Gas Turbine upgrade product portfolio
  • Review/produce Turbine Application Guidelines (TAGs) for engineering upgrades.
  • Training coordination and execution for the AE Europe team on GE gas turbine combined cycle and cogeneration plant upgrades.
  • Training and mentoring of AEs in line with their job duties or Commercial Leadership Program (CLP) & Edison Engineers in Application Engineering work placement rotations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor ́s or Master ́s degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, controls, process automation, or similar), or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the power generation equipment design engineering, service engineering operations and maintenance support or in engineering tendering/sales support activities
