Mandated by a globally active company, located in the Jura, that designs and produces turning and milling machines for more than 100 years, we are looking for the future

Head of Procurement

Your area of responsibility | Directly reporting to the COO of the group, you are leading the company's team of procurement professionals and ensure the timely provision of materials and components at competitive costs. You will achieve your goals through the definition and implementation of the sourcing strategy and your active engagement in the coaching of your team and management of close relationship with the supply partners. As procurement expert you will support the company's product development initiatives, conduct RFI and RFQ and negotiate supply contracts and agreements. At group level you will, in close cooperation with the group's production plants in Asia, define the group's sourcing strategy and ensure its implementation.

Your personality | You dispose of a technical background, ideally complemented with an advanced business degree. Your are looking back at several years of procurement experience, preferably in the machine tool sector or other highly technical industry. With a hands-on mentality you are ready to dive into detail-analysis whilst keeping a clear view of the strategic priorities of your area of responsibility. You are expert user of MS Office 365 and ideally familiar with SAP. As a strong leader, you will further develop your procurement team and maintain excellent relationships with procurement professionals of the other plants of the group. You are business fluent in English and ideally speaking French, any other language being an advantage.

Your perspectives | The position holder will have the opportunity to assume a key role in a highly international business environment with a broad field of technological matters, ranging from demanding mechanical components to electronics. An eager and hands-on Head of Procurement will substantially contribute to the further success of the group and may participate in the company's personnel development initiatives. Broadening of the area of responsibility is desired.
