About PDF Tools SDK Products
Products for the PDF Tools AG brand target developers that need to integrate PDF-related processing into their software.

In order to focus on driving their business cases, our customers rely on the high quality and performance of our SDK products.

Functionality includes long term PDF archiving, compression of PDFs, signing PDFs, PDF viewing/editing, and more.

Your mission - should you choose to accept it*:

Mentor, coach, and enable growth for engineers in your team

Support technical decision making both within your team and across engineering

Collaborate closely with Product Management to set product requirements and provide high-level estimates
-
Drive adoption and improvement of various KPIs and OKRs both for your team and for engineering in general

Responsibilities:
-
Enable your team to deliver a high-quality product to satisfy users' needs
-
Management responsibility for the engineers in your team (3-5 engineers)
-
Technical decision making accountability, oversight, and delegation
-
Collaborate closely with other engineering managers and stakeholders
-
Work with the Talent Acquisition team to grow and nurture our engineering team

Your profile:

Degree in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of working as a software engineer or equivalent role on low level technical challenges, preferably for a developer facing product
3+ years of management experience
Experience with C++ and at least one memory managed language (eg. C# or Java)
Demonstrable ability to own a longrunning project from start to finish, working in an environment with a large codebase and an established user base
Fluent English
Based in Zurich or willing to relocate (this is an onsite role)
Swiss or EU passport holder (or other permits that allow you to work in Switzerland)

Nice to have:

Experience building SDKs
Experience building custom document formats
Experience with the specific technologies in our stack
Indepth knowledge of various operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, Android)
