Introduction of the Centre:


The International Geneva Global Health Platform (the Platform) is the convening and capacity-building arm of the Global Health Centre (GHC), Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.

With more than 6 events (in person/hybrid and online) per semester, and capacity-building courses offered to professionals, the Platform offers venues and opportunities to discuss and gain insights in global health governance, power and politics.

The role:

Under the supervision of the Platform Coordinator, you will work in close collaboration with the Communications Officer, Student Assistants, the Events Team of the Graduate Institute, and our supplier in Food & Beverages.


The Platform of the global Health Centre is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as the Assistant where you will provide logístical and organizational support to ensure smooth running of Platform events and capacity-building courses.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and diverse stakeholders in Geneva and elsewhere, to facilitate events and trainings covering timely issues in global health.

Key responsibilities:


  • Assist in organizing public inperson/hybrid and online events, and capacitybuilding courses;
  • Collect and create speakers' biographies document for events and courses, event programs, surveys, course evaluations;
  • Ensure most of technical tools (presentation PPT, audio, video, Webex) for meetings and events
  • Organise all the logistics regarding the meetings and events for attendees
  • Monitor and keep up to date all the guidance, reports and the GHC branding
  • Create and update promotional materials for events
  • Liaise with organizations cohosting events;
  • Prepare, and draft some documents for attendees before and after the events/courses;
  • Help preparing concept notes for events;
  • Assist at the registration desk during inperson events and capacity building courses;
  • Assist the Q&A sessions during events (pass microphones, monitor online questions);

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • CFC or equivalent diploma or undergraduate university diploma
  • At least 23 years' experience in events organization and logistics
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English (C1 is a minimum)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent knowledge of webinar tools (Webex will be an asset
  • Good knowledge of SurveyMonkey and basic knowledge of Slido or Mentimeter
  • Ability to independently prioritize and organize tasks efficiently and manage time
  • Attentive to detail and good analytical skills
  • Comfortable taking initiative, and ability to communicate effectively and interact tactfully with stakeholders
  • Able to work independently and as a great team player
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite (preferably InDesign) or willingness to learn
  • Basic knowledge of French
  • Interest in Global Health is a plus
