Business Manager - Temporary position 8 months -:

Description:

Wealth Management (WM) As it plays such a major part in our strategy, we are investing significantly in Wealth Management to fuel our growth, particularly in Europe (onshore), the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Latin America and Asia.

We provide a complete range of private banking products and services, including a variety of investment management and advisory mandates, tailored to our clients's specific requirements, objectives and risk profiles.

Among UBP professional partners, over 300 independent asset managers have chosen us as their custodian bank, valuing our personalised, flexible services and our transparent fee structure.

Mission:

Business Monitoring ensures the effective functioning of operational processes within Wealth Management at Group level, as well as safeguarding the first line of defense control framework.

Challenges:

Following up on Bank's Committees' decisions, staff adherence to internal directives, optimization of processes, drafting and updating of directives, conducting special remedial projects and establishing and implementing effective reporting.

Main responsibilities:

KRI / Controls

Perform First Line of Defense Controls as per the Business Monitoring's MFCs in particular the outflow control as well as EAM controls.

Escalate issues identified during controls

Monitor and follow up on WM's Banking KRIs by relying on control functions (Risk, Compliance and Legal) and extractions from the system

Action plans / Processes

Monitor ad hoc action plans linked to operational risks

Follow up with the FO on pending issues related to specific (regulatory) action plans

Create informative communications on various risk/regulatory/remediation topics for the FO

Present ideas/proposals for improvements in existing procedures, directives, reporting and processes

Reporting

Create and update reports on the status of remediations, controls findings, and other specific action plans for the Bank's Committees and WM Senior Management

Education:

Education: Master Degree
Technical skills: Excel

Experience:

Years of experience: 03 : beginner
Experience required: are at ease in a banking environment with regard to its terminology and functions
Experience in private banking: Optional

Language:

English: Fluent
French: Fluent

Personal skills:

Swiss resident: Mandatory

- can work independently in an organized/methodological manner
- can manage several non-related topics during the day (flexible)
- are a team player with a "customer" focus
- speak at least 2 languages one of which is English
