Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Lead Expert:

As the MES Lead Expert at Datwyler IT Services, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our manufacturing processes by implementing, managing and enhancing our future Manufacturing Execution System.

You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining MES solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and traceability across our manufacturing operations.

Additionally, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align MES strategies with business objectives and ensure seamless integration with other systems.

Your responsibilities:

MES Strategy and Development:
Be part of the global MES implementation team and help to develop and execute a comprehensive MES strategy aligned with the company's manufacturing goals and objectives
Design and implement MES solutions to streamline production processes, minimize downtime, and enhance product quality
Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure the successful integration of MES with other systems (ERP, SCADA, etc.)
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead a team of MES specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to drive continuous improvement in MES capabilities
System Configuration and Maintenance:
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot MES software and hardware components
Ensure data accuracy, system reliability, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
Process Optimization:
Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for optimization and automation using MES tools
Implement best practices to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase production throughput
Training and Documentation:
Develop training programs and materials for MES users and operators
Maintain comprehensive documentation of MES configurations, procedures, and workflows
Quality and Compliance:
Ensure that MES solutions support product quality standards and compliance requirements, such as ISO standards and regulatory guidelines

Our requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
Proven experience (5+ years) in MES implementation, configuration, and optimization
Strong knowledge of MES software platforms, ideally Hydra X from MPDV or equivalent
Experience in leading and managing crossfunctional teams
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with discrete manufacturing processes
