    Your mission

    We are looking for two versatile Biophotonics Lab Technicians to join our R&D team in the Biophotonics department. The ideal candidates will have expertise in optical biosensing or a comparable field within biosensing technologies, including hands-on experience in chemometrics. Your role will involve supporting the development and enhancement of our wearable devices through rigorous testing on humans.

    ​You will:

    • Support the development and optimization optical biosensing systems for biomarker detection in humans.
    • Conduct comprehensive tests and validations of biosensors in both laboratory and real-world environments, in clinical settings.
    • Prepare high quality documentation of all research tests and development processes and outcomes.
    • Support the preparation and delivery of detailed reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Guarantee that all laboratory operations are performed according to internal quality standards.
    • Support the maintenance of laboratory supplies and needs.
    • This role includes up to 25% travel to conduct experimental tests in Switzerland and EU neighbor countries.

    Your profile

    • Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Optical Engineering, or a closely related field.
    • At least 2 years of professional experience in optical sensing technology and proven hands-on experience with experimental device testing in (bio)chemical lab environments.
    • Strong foundation in physical chemistry or bio-chemistry and its applications in sensor technology, or equivalent.
    • Proficient in experimental test design, data collection, and device troubleshooting.
    • Skilled in at least one scientific software for data analysis and presentation.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team and communicate complex concepts clearly.
    • Adaptable to rapidly changing project scopes and innovative project demands.
    • Fluent in English (German is a plus), with strong writing and communication skills.
    • Experienced in laboratory management and operation systems is a plus.
