    Role reports to the Oncology Business Unit Leader Switzerland

    Based in Geneva, Eli Lilly (Suisse) SA focuses on commercial activities.

    We provide high-quality services to Swiss healthcare professionals so that patients can be provided with top-notch solutions that improve their quality of life.

    To reinforce our Oncology Business Unit, we are looking for a National Oncology Educator.

    Lilly's Oncology Educator role primarily facilitates and delivers oncology and breast cancer education in the HCP community primarily Nurses and Pharmacists.

    The Challenge:

    Oncology Educator's activities are a cornerstone to educate on product in-label related topics focused on ease of use, safety, dosing, and patient management. (HCPs) These learning opportunities enhance HCPs knowledge, competence, interdisciplinary team functioning, and adaptive clinical decision-making. They empower HCPs to improve clinical performance (technical and clinical competence), thereby achieving better patient outcomes.

    The Key Objectives:

  • Lead/Co-Lead the development and execution of the CH Education strategy/plan primarily in breast cancer.
  • Providing input into the Global/Regional brand plans supporting the portfolio objectives.
  • Use your extensive knowledge of the Oncology disease area, educational trends and regulations in the external environment.
  • Translate insights into meaningful strategies and education solutions that deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Knowledge & expertise Acquires and maintains required levels of knowledge disease state, product, competitor, patient and support material knowledge. It is not necessary to be the expert but should be a resource to both sales & marketing to provide the field perspective.Works closely with Medical to ensure between the 2 disciplines we provide the right data to the customers.
  • Ethics & Compliance Follows internal and external ethical and legal guidelines and adheres to all company compliance policies; promotes on-label use of Lilly BrandsFulfils all compliance requirements for Thought Leader requests when required (IMA) Planning & Partnerships E-Customer & project management.
  • Delivering presentations and structured education programs leading to advances in Eli Lilly being a recognized leader in Medical Education.
  • Customer facing (3-4 days per week).
  • Cover Switzerland entirely and ideally be based between Basel, Bern and Zurich.
  • Internally, you will collaborate with medical affairs, medical liaisons, marketing, sales teams and other cross-functional members to align the learning needs externally with the strategic and tactical direction of the oncology portfolio. Externally, across CH, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with HCPs in key centres and stakeholders. You will work across priority accounts to support key initiatives and objectives and respond to their needs within the education provided.

    Other Responsibilities include:

    Oncology Education Strategic & Organisational Planning:

    Have a passion for education and take an active role in positively contributing to success across the medical affairs organisation.

    Implementation of Educational Solutions:

    Act as Oncology Education subject matter expert within the respective Region, designing and deploying local educational initiatives.

    External Collaboration/Faculty engagement:

    Follow guidelines to ensure quality submissions of educational programs that align with accreditation requirements and receive approval for credits to be used as conditions of medical license.

    Be accountable for gaining, improving, and maintaining educational access as well as safeguarding and advocating for a receptive environment to support future offerings.

    Internal Stakeholder Engagement/Business Alignment:

    Anticipate and have contingency plans for changes in the internal environment and emerging science to ensure timely and rapid adjustments.

    Key Competencies:

  • D riving license required
  • University degree (Nursing, Pharmacy)
  • Extensive therapy area knowledge and insights into clinical management are essential. This should include recent clinical experience in Oncology
  • Experienced in structured education programme delivery and facilitation skills (specialising in breast cancer oncology)
  • Bi-lingual German/ French with good command of English
  • Extensive clinical knowledge of Breast Cancer and awareness of current scientific data/discussion
  • Demonstrate project management and team leadership skills (working autonomously and collaboratively)
  • Positive, enthusiastic, empathetic, and collaborative team member
  • Expertise in adult education principles and program development that results in exceptional customer experiences
  • As a member of a cross-functional team, you have leadership experience and demonstrate an ability to problem solve creatively and still be customer-centric
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on sales force and customer communications.
