Assistant Manager - Deal Advisory - Transaction Services

Your contribution to KPMG

Collaborate with your Deal Advisory colleagues to deliver critical insights for strategic investment decisions to our clients

Obtain, compile and analyse financial, commercial and operational data of target companies including key deal metrics such as sustainable EBITDA, net working capital, net debt and future cash flows

Organise and execute sell-side and buy-side due diligence and vendor assistance projects for international and Swiss clients

Demonstrate ability to engage and listen intently to clients to understand and interpret their needs

Ensure close cooperation with our internal advisors from tax, strategy, valuations and pension as well as external lawyers and representatives of investment banks

Present quantitative analysis in a concise manner, accompanied by qualitative commentary in a polished client report providing insights to our clients to support their investment/divestment decision

Coach and develop junior team members effectively on projects through reviewing their deliverables and passing on know-how and experience

Take on project management tasks, such as monitoring project progress, setting milestones, reporting delays and costs to date against budget to the Engagement Manager and to the client

This is what makes you successful

Successfully completed a Master's Degree in Business Administration or Economics, preferably with a specialisation in Finance and Accounting; relevant further education (ACCA, CPA) seen as a plus

At least 3-4 years of experience in transaction services; Experience in M&A, audit, financial consulting or controlling of an international firm also considered, especially if combined with first experience in transactions and Big4 exposure

Analytical style of work, advanced problem-solving skills and affinity for explaining complex topics in a simple and understandable way

Quick to grasp and learn new things and translate these into actions

Strong people management skills, with a willingness to mentor and teach junior team members, fostering their professional development

Not afraid to take on responsibility, able to handle pressure combined with a high degree of flexibility

Fluent in written and spoken French and English, knowledge of other languages (in particular German) seen as an asset
