Legal Counsel Legal Services / L&C Corporate and Public Affairs


Do you have legal experience, preferably in a bank or financial services company? We have a great challenge and interesting role for you as Legal Counsel and member of the Legal Services team within the Legal & Compliance Corporate and Public Affairs Department.

You are part of an open-minded team that acts in a versatile, dynamic, and flexible working environment.


What would your role be?

  • Advising on litigation cases, instructing and supervising external legal counsel
  • Assisting the Legal Services team and representing the organization in litigation, arbitration, mediation or other disputes proceedings at court or other legal authorities in Switzerland
  • Providing legal advice to the Human Resource Department and in particular to Business Partners on employment contract law and public employment law
  • Supporting the Head L&C Corporate and Public Affairs and Head Legal Services on legal matters, including contracts, such as supplier contracts, IT contracts, consulting contracts, as well as on tenancy and real estate law matters, including reviewing tenancy agreements and negotiating, asserting or defending against claims
  • Providing advice to credit officers and structure loans (lombard and mortgage loan agreements) and corresponding collateral as well as prepare/review the necessary contractual basis (standard forms as well as special agreements)
  • Working with outside counsel as necessary to ensure proper and efficient handling of legal matters

What are we looking for?

  • Master degree in Law and admission to the bar (mandatory)
  • Minimum 3 years of postqualified legal experience, preferably in a bank or financial services company focusing on litigation, corporate, or financial transactions, or in a wellregarded (and forensically oriented) law firm
  • Excellent communication skills both in German and English (mandatory)
  • Recognized for an independent, teamoriented individual who can collaborate effectively
  • Structured thinking, as well as able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Your assertiveness completes your profile
