Please note that this is a locally recruited position, restricted to Swiss nationals and/or legal residents of Switzerland.


With its 192 member countries, the Universal Postal Union (UPU), a specialized agency of the United Nations, is the primary forum for cooperation between postal sector players.

It helps to ensure a truly universal network of up-to-date products and services.


Responsibilities


Under the guidance of the Management Support Lead, the Assistant will be responsible for the management of administrative missions for the PTC, the regional technical centre, and the back office in Montevideo, Uruguay.

The Assistant will also contribute to licensing, billing and other administrative tasks.


Qualifications

  • Secondary education or vocational training (Swiss federal certificate of competence or similar) in commerce, administration or business management.
  • Minimum of four years' experience in a commercial and administrative field is required.
  • Good knowledge of IT tools (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Knowledge of general accounting is required.
  • Good writing and language skills in at least French (and preferably also in English) are required.
  • Knowledge of procurement procedures is desirable.
  • Proficiency in French and working knowledge of English.
