As a Technical Co-Founder, you will help shape and build IdealMatch's product and culture, which you should identify with and be enthusiastic about.

Besides your technical work, your responsibilities will involve maintaining a close connection with users, going through investment rounds, and hiring.

Hopefully, you will accelerate our journey toward becoming a profitable company with many satisfied (ex-)users.


IdealMatch's mission

Our mission is to ensure that recent developments in AI, in particular, but not limited to NLP, are used ethically to make the online dating experience safer, more positive, and more personal.

We want to improve users' experience when they choose to go for trying to find their ideal match on a dating app.

It is also crucial for us to help them avoid negative experiences by supporting them and blocking harmful usage and content, therefore protecting their mental health.

We will first focus on growing our weekly users and introduce monetization when we have a good product-market fit and a network effect.

IdealMatch is at the prototyping stage and has yet to be officially founded, possibly with you on the list of Co-Founders.

Responsibilities

• Identify the highest priority problems which users face with dating apps in general and with our app in particular. You should therefore have a very close professional connection with (potential) users, interrogating many of them and carefully listening to their feedback.
• Collaborate in systematically solving those problems with whatever tools and people we need by identifying all possible approaches and picking and executing the best among them. This will help us engineer a product we can be proud of.
• Join investment raising rounds, representing the company from its very best side.
• Actively and consciously shape the company culture to enable a workspace where people at the company feel comfortable doing their best. Communicate any concerns about the company culture we are building and discuss them constructively and at an early stage.
• Stay uptodate with the latest advancements in AI that could be relevant to AIenhanced online dating to ensure we stay ahead of competitors.

Qualifications

• You have at least one, preferably several years of industry experience in frontend (mobile), backend, and/or ML engineering.
• Ideally, you have experience and strong skills with at least one of Flutter (Dart framework), NoSQL, or Python (statistics, machine learning). Similar qualifications, such as experience with JavaScript frameworks, SQL, R (statistics), C++, Rust, Java, etc., are also sufficient if you are demonstrably motivated and a quick learner.
• Graduate degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, etc.) or equivalent industry experience. A Ph.

D. in a relevant area is a big plus.

• Extracurricular activities like volunteering or achievements, for example, computer science or math competitions, are a plus.
• Enthusiastic about and skilled at systematic problemsolving and using whatever tools are best for identifying and addressing challenging problems to improve our user's experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit.
• Additional bonus qualifications which we want within the company include System Engineering, Prompt Engineering, Cybersecurity, Testing, Continuous Integration, and Graph Theory (complex social network systems).
