Position Summary


The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Coffee (NPTC Coffee) is the leading R&D organization that discover, develop and deploy coffee and beverage products and technologies for in-home and out-of-home consumption.

It consists of units in Konolfingen (CH), Marysville (USA), Orbe (CH) and Singapore and provide new products and processes to all Nestlé markets worldwide.

The nutrition & health team at the NPTC Coffee translates Nestlé Corporate nutrition strategy (Good For You) into concrete recommendations for our coffee brands (such as NESCAFÉ, NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto, Starbucks) and provides nutritional guidance to the reformulation or development of new coffee beverages.

As an
R&D Nutrition Intern, you will assist indeveloping new nutritional targets for the formulation of beverages which positioning targets various demand moments.

A Day in the Life of an R&D Nutrition Intern

  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and competitive landscape to define the stateoftheart related to nutritional profiles and dietary guidelines for beverages
  • Work closely with our internal experts to build nutritional targets for the innovation and reformulation of beverages
  • Summarize findings, tabulate data, and contribute to reports and presentations to share results
  • Assist with other relevant scientific activities in the team, as requested

What will make you successful

  • Master's degree student in Human Nutrition, Nutrition science, Food Sciences with specialisation in Nutrition or a related field
  • Experience in conducting a literature search, and general understanding of health and nutrition measures
  • High interest and motivation for the topic of factors contributing to balanced diets
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, positive work attitude
  • Proactive approach to work, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver highquality results
  • Fluent in English, French is a plus
