Responsibilities:

Develop and implement sourcing strategies for defined material groups within the GIS business unit to achieve cost savings, quality, and service level objectives
Lead the procurement process for defined material groups, including identifying and selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier performance
Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality, and compliance with contractual terms
Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify new sourcing opportunities and potential risks
Work closely with crossfunctional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and project management to ensure procurement activities align with business requirements
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Ensure compliance with Hitachi Power Grids policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations

Your background

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field
3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the energy or engineering industry
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings and operational efficiencies
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make datadriven decisions
Experience in managing supplier relationships and conducting supplier performance evaluations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Knowledge of procurement best practices, as well as relevant laws and regulations
Fluent in English and German
Very good knowledge of SAP and MS Office
Background in High Voltage Products is a plus
