    The Position

    As the Global Patient Advocacy Director, you are tasked with developing and executing global patient engagement and advocacy strategies for Novo Nordisk Rare Disease programs. Your responsibilities include disseminating these strategies across Affiliates and establishing impactful relationships with patient advocacy organizations in therapeutic areas relevant to Novo Nordisk Rare Disease. Your goal is to ensure that the patient voice is amplified within the organization and that their input remains fundamental throughout the advancement of programs.

    In addition, your tasks will also be to:

  • Co-create and oversee implementation of global strategic patient advocacy and engagement plans for RareD
  • Identify, build, and manage collaborations with patient organizations related to RareD across various disease areas
  • Serve as primary contact for global patient organizations, fostering productive long-term partnerships to address community needs and bridge gaps with NN
  • Monitor and report on relevant patient community issues, identifying priorities and solutions to incorporate into programs
  • Engage with patients to gain insights into their experiences, disseminate insights across the organization, and integrate them into drug development plans
  • Qualifications

    You offer strong communication skills, effective leadership, and adept project management abilities. With a flexible and positive attitude, coupled with a global mindset and language proficiency, you're ready to travel as needed. You're a self-starter driven by a passion for supporting patients and upholding medical ethics.

    Furthermore:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) is required
  • A post-graduate degree in counselling, social work, genetic counselling, public health, nursing, pharmacy, or life sciences is strongly valued
  • A minimum of 5 years commercial experience with at least 3 years of patient adherence experience and strong patient journey understanding
  • Experience with rare or ultra rare conditions is a plus
  • Experience with commercial launches is highly desired
  • Excellent written, verbal, and people skills and the ability to communicate at all levels and present complex and/or new ideas with clarity and simplicity
  • Demonstrate curiosity and cultivate innovation
  • Fluency in English
