What's the role?:

In this role you will act as the Controller for Global Strategic Marketing department.

You will work with many functional stakeholders (e.g., Senior management, Global Finance, Marketing, Legal, Procurement, Global IT) to steer Global Strategic Marketing's forecast process & investment plans which contributes to Hilti's sustainable growth.

What does the role involve?:


As a Controller for Global Strategic Marketing, you will lead the budget planning & forecasting and oversee actual costs for Global Strategic Marketing department in collaboration with the Strategic Marketing Leadership Team.


With a business partnering & entrepreneurial mindset, you will work closely with senior leadership team to assess investment opportunities & prioritization.

You will manage the investment governance & plan across different locations for example, Paris (France), Plano (US), as well as Schaan (Liechtenstein).

You will ensure the actual investments made are in line with budget across several teams such as Engagement Marketing, Marketing and Sales Technology, Customer Experience & Ecommerce, etc.

You will support contracting & negotiations with multiple stakeholders (Department head, Global Finance, Legal, Procurement, Vendor Management Office).


Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the controlling & reporting activities such as cost accounting, accruals leveraging the latest state-of-the-art ERP & reporting technologies such as SAP S/4HANA & SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

What you need is:


  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Finance or Related Field, or other globally recognized financial qualifications, e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, etc.
  • Minimum 25 years' experience in a financial, consultancy or auditing role within a multinational organization
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Controlling, Accounting, Reporting or Financial Advisory combined with finance business partnering attitude
  • Strong business planning, financial planning (forecasting/budgeting) and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills, including ability to structure clear presentations to senior management
  • Proficient English written and verbal communication is essential
  • Highlevel proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is a must. Experience in ERP and Software (e.g., SAP FI, PowerBI, SAP BI/BOA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), S/4HANA) are preferred.
