Total Rewards Cluster Leader

Position overview


The regional Total Rewards organization owns compensation and benefits strategy and design across the Johnson & Johnson sectors in the EMEA region.

The team provides strategic business support and implements solutions to enable the businesses to achieve their organization, talent and growth objectives.


Tasks & Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the development, implementation and optimization of compensation and benefits policies and programs for the assigned countries within the approved Total Rewards framework and guidelines.
  • Collaborate and engage with Country/Cluster HR Heads to ensure that the TR programs and operations are aligned with Global TR and HR strategic initiatives and plans.
  • Ensure Total Rewards programs are externally competitive and internally equitable. Utilize insights and analytics to identify market trends and initiate appropriate actions/strategic solutions to maintain the company's competitive position within the cluster/region.
  • Communicate, monitor, and provide organization wide direction on Total Rewards policies and procedures (compensation, benefits, retirement and perks).
  • Partner with Global Service TR to drive key initiatives and develop effective end to end processes that results in high efficiencies and positive employee experiences.
  • Lead change management efforts that align with company and transformation initiatives including acquisition and divestiture due diligence, integration and harmonization.
  • Represent the Company in external forums that aim at benchmarking talent practices and shaping the competitive talent landscape.
  • Represent HR/Total Rewards in internal forums to include J&J Talent Strategy in development of policies, practices and activities that impact the employee experience (Fleet Governance, Pension Committees, HR Leadership Teams).
  • Resolve complex process and policy inquiries requiring higher level knowledge and authority and/or interaction with 3rd Parties.

  • Education: University Degree
  • Years of Experience: 810 years in Total Rewards
  • Language: English
  • Location: Zug, Switzerland

Technical/Functional Skills Required:


  • Experience with all compensation components, including understanding of longterm incentives, sales incentives and expatriate packages.
  • Experience in Benefits & Retirement Plan research, design, implementation and communication.
  • M&A Due Diligence, integration and harmonization experience.
  • Experience driving change programs across countries and functions.
  • Ability to build relationships, mentor and collaborate with leaders and key partners at all levels.
  • Experience in developing and reporting HR analytics to drive databased decisions for HR and the organization; use of HR Systems and strong Excel skills.
  • Demonstrate high levels of innovation and creativity with strong analytical skills. Ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities, identify risks/issues, assess implications, formulate recommendations, and drive sound decisions that deliver results.
  • Experience in a large multinational corporation with a matrixed environment. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; formal presentation and facilitation skills.

Leadership Profile Required:

  • Influencing, change management, account management skills
  • Ability to move across HR roles (within Global Services, Corporate Services, Business Partner)
