We are looking for an
External Manufacturing Operations Lead who is
good communicator, team player and very well organized to join us in our
External Manufacturing department, based in our
site in
Bulle,
Switzerland.

About the role

As an External Manufacturing Operations Lead you will manage biological Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) to ensure the supply of biological Drug Substances with the required quality, quantity, timing and cost, following established quality and manufacturing agreements.

Who you'll work with

Reporting to the Head of External Manufacturing Ops Bio and Gene therapy DS, you will be part of a team of 8 colleagues who works in a collaborative environment.

What you'll do

You will lead efficient Operational Management of CMOs for the production of biological Drug Substances.
You will ensure implementation of UCB External Manufacturing Operational strategy by providing first line Technical Expertise and developing and maintaining operational relationship with CMOs.
You will ensure consistency of ways of working for several projects at the same CMO.
You will ensure monitoring of Manufacturing Operational KPIs and risks.
You will lead the Preparation, Monitoring and Closure of manufacturing campaigns of Drug Substances at CMOs for Clinical, Launch and Commercial supply.
You will lead initiatives to Identify, Implement, Change and Optimize External Manufacturing Operations (process continuous improvements) and Manage projects.

education, experience
and
skills

Minimum Education level: Master's degree in Life Sciences.
Minimum 35 years in biotech / biopharma industry, in a biomanufacturing role.
Expertise in biomanufacturing processes and in technical documentation writing and review.
Experience in project management and in the management of outsourced activities.
Strong communication skills, excellent spoken and written English (C1), French is an advantage.
Autonomous and rigorous, with an outofthebox approach for problem solving.
