**Position Summary

The Nestlé System Technology Center in Orbe is Nestlé's leading competence center for the design, development and deployment of Nestlé systems, offering expertise in machines, packaging, and products for in-home and out-of-home.


As an
R&D Associate Specialist in Electronic Machine Development , you will be part of a multidisciplinary Project core team in an international and innovative environment.

Your main responsibilities will be to manage the design and development of electronic and IoT for beverage systems developed in Switzerland and contribute to generate concept to speed up Nestlé's competitiveness on the Beverage dispensers' market.

This position offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with external and internal specialists and ensure state of the art Connectivity & user experience solutions for Nestlé Beverage machines, cross business.

Examples of well-known beverage systems are Nestlé Dolce Gusto and Nespresso coffee machines.

**A Day in the Life of an R&D Associate Specialist in Electronic Machine Development

  • Establish and build competence in key technologies for UX and IOT
  • Setup processes to ensure state of the art UX applied to user interface / SW development
  • Manage UX & IOT projects part cross categories according to briefs ensuring deliverables
  • Interact independently with external partners and internal expert to execute the project
  • Actively collaborate with Businesses as well as Nestlé System Technology Center competences cross categories to ensure best in class user experience and on time launch of connectivity solutions on new projects
  • Collaborate actively with electronic community and digital teams and advice to succeed in breakthrough beverage systems
  • Demonstrate opportunity (MVP) via rapidprototyping and present to business & marketing
  • Propose new ideas in the field of electronics for beverage dispenser
**What will make you successful

  • Engineering education (BSc, MSc, Phd)
  • More than 2 years' experience on IoT gained in research centers or University
  • Knowledge of WiFi / Bluetooth protocols, devices and systems for wireless network
  • Experience validation of IoTbased systems and devices
  • Understanding of new digital trends, with spirit of innovation and digital thinking
  • Familiarity with IP protection mechanisms, contracting and service agreements
  • Knowledge of methods of data science
  • Great team player, strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • High motivation to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary and agile environment
  • Courage and ability to take decisions and solve problems
  • Fluent in English
